A brief (quick six shots in the cold) attempt at moon photography. An opposite approach compared to my other night sky photography of the recent northern lights.

Whereas before, I used long shutter speeds to capture as much light as possible and collect a canvas of stars, this involved very fast shutter speeds because the moon is extremely bright in contrast to the night sky. This was taken at 1/50 but in future, I’ll be more confident in going even faster and experimenting with the aperture.

Moon photo.

This photo was taken the day after with a 1/400 shutter speed.
