Bigger lens acquired, a Tamron 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 to be more specific. Looking forward to playing around with this bit of kit and getting some close up bird photos. I managed to spend a little time while on holiday with the family to test at one of my favourite animal parks.


I wanted to get some movement shots so gave it a try on shutter priority mode first. The detail on the bird’s feathers came out great. The backgrounds have too much noise for my liking so next, I’ll play about more in full manual mode.
